The 200R RM is the matching receiver unit for the PACSNET200T RM rotation sensor product which combines detection of rotational movement by accurate digital compass, and its transmission, using secure low cost VHF wireless.
The unit incorporates the complementary 173MHz low power radio receiver module, but is dc powered from the instrument panel, PLC or RTU to which it is connected. Cabling is embedded within the unit with flying tails ensuring the IP68 rating is maintained. It can be mounted next to the plant that being monitored, using existing cabling for power and alarm signals to the control station. Alternatively, it can be located next to or inside the plant control cubicle, making the whole system wireless direct into the control equipment.
Like the 200T RM, the 200R RM is ideal for use by water companies and industrial complexes operating smaller treatment works in locations where the costs of frequent inspection are high. Whilst many such sites are not particularly troublesome, the increasing controls placed on operators by the EA does mean that many more are liable to fail their consents when left unattended for longer time intervals.
